About this site

Privacy

What happens to your files and data when you use EuroToolHub, which outside services the site can use, and when they are used.

In short

  • The PDF, image and calculator tools run in your browser. Files you choose or drop are processed on your own device. These tools do not send them to our server or to any other service.
  • Visitor statistics are off unless you accept them. If you accept, Google Analytics loads and sets cookies. You can change your choice at any time in Privacy settings.
  • The Norway toll calculator uses public map, address and road-data services, and a routing service. It needs them to work.

Who is responsible

EuroToolHub is run by Faisal Manzoor, who is responsible for how this site handles personal data. For privacy questions, email eurotoolhub@gmail.com.

Files you use in the PDF and image tools

The PDF tools (for example Merge, Split, Compress and Sign PDF) and the image tools open your file with code that runs in your browser. Your file, your signature and the finished result are handled on your device. The tools do not upload them to our server or send them to any other service. In our tests, the only network requests while using them were for the tools’ own code from our site. The code these tools need, such as PDF.js and pdf-lib, is served from our own site.

PDF to Word is switched off at the moment. While it was available, it was the one tool that sent the chosen file to an outside conversion service. While it is switched off, it cannot receive files.

The calculators (salary, VAT, currency, dates and the other everyday tools) also work in your browser. The currency converter uses fixed reference rates stored on the page and does not look up live rates.

Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)

We would like to use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and tools are used, so we know what to improve. It is off by default. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept statistics. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the rest of the site works the same either way.

Your choice is remembered in this browser for 6 months. After that, or sooner if we change this notice in a way that matters for your choice, we ask again. The record of your choice stays in your browser: it holds only the choice, when you made it and the notice version, and we do not keep a copy on our server.

Only if you choose Accept statistics does your browser load Google Analytics from Google. It then:

  • stores two cookies, _ga and _ga_89CJR70DD4, so Google can recognise your browser on later visits (in our test in Chrome they were set to expire after 400 days);
  • sends Google the address and title of the pages you view, the page you came from, your browser, device, screen size and language. Like any connection, it also gives Google your IP address.

You can withdraw at any time: open Privacy settings and choose Reject statistics. The page then stops loading Google Analytics, deletes the Google Analytics cookies set for this site and reloads. Data that was already sent to Google stays with Google under the retention settings below.

Our Google Analytics settings, as checked on 18 October 2026:

  • Retention: event data, such as page views, is kept for 2 months. Data tied to a browser’s Analytics ID is kept for 14 months, and that period starts again each time the same browser visits with statistics accepted.
  • Google signals is off, and user-provided data collection is off.
  • Granular location and device data collection is on in all regions. Google therefore records an approximate location (for example the city) and device details such as the device model.
  • Ads personalisation is set to allowed in all regions in the property settings.
  • Data sharing with Google: sharing for modelling and business insights, for technical support and for business recommendations is on. Sharing with other Google products and services is off.

Google’s privacy information for Google business products explains how Google handles this data. Google may process it outside Norway and the EEA, including in the United States.

Earlier chat assistant

Earlier versions of this site included a chat assistant from Botpress, which could receive technical data when loaded and anything a visitor chose to type into the chat; the site now removes stored chat entries from this browser (entries starting with bp-webchat-), and questions about earlier chats can be sent to eurotoolhub@gmail.com.

Fonts

The site’s fonts (Fraunces, IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono, under the SIL Open Font License) are served from our own site. No font requests go to Google Fonts.

Norway toll calculator

The toll calculator connects to public Norwegian services directly from your browser. Each of them therefore receives your IP address along with the request:

  • Map tiles from Kartverket. It receives the part of the map you are viewing.
  • Place and address search from Kartverket’s Geonorge service. It receives the text you type into the search fields.
  • Toll stations and prices from Statens vegvesen’s road database (NVDB).

Routes are calculated by Simple Routing (OSRM, with OpenStreetMap data). Your browser sends the coordinates of your start, stops and destination to our server, which forwards the coordinates and route options to Simple Routing. Our code does not add your IP address or other identifiers to that request; Cloudflare, which runs our server, may add its own technical information. A successful route may be kept on our server for up to one hour, so that asking for the same route again is fast. Simple Routing’s privacy policy describes its own request logs.

The calculator stores some data in your browser’s local storage, and it does not send this data to us:

  • a copy of the public toll-station list, which it refreshes after 24 hours;
  • timing information that keeps requests within the services’ rate limits;
  • trips you choose to save: up to 20, and only when you press Save trip. You can delete saved trips in the calculator.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages, Cloudflare’s servers receive your IP address and the details of each request, as any web server does. Request logging for our own server code on Cloudflare is turned off in our configuration.
